Raspberry Lemon Margaritas

Usually I am all for the classic marg, but this time I was looking to make a more romantic, feminine take on the marg. And boy did this version deliver! It's slightly sweet with a whole lot of tart and a beautiful pink tone. It's the perfect cocktail recipe to serve up for your romantic valentines day dinner or for all of your Galentines! Whether it's just because or for a special event, this marg is absolutely delicious and the perfect pink to add to your party. Ya know, they say real men wear pink, I'd say the same goes for drinking pink! So don't be scared to serve it up to your valentine for a cute twist on your Valentine's Day dinner! And what's even better? This version used the Simply Light Raspberry Lemonade, making it an overall healthier cocktail. What do I love even more than cocktails? A healthier cocktail! I don't feel quite as bad drinking them when I know they don't have as much sugar in them. :) Do you have any big plans for Valentines day dinner? We go back and forth, but this time we decided to make a reservation! I am super excited to try out a newer local restaurant for dinner. But, if you're staying in, head over to the blog because there are PLENTY of delicious and fancier recipes you can make that will have you feeling like your out on the town. Last year, I made a crockpot beef bourguignon and it was AMAZING. Pretty easy to make and at the end of the day, you have a delicious meal that you barely worked on. :) Highly recommend it, among others for your date night! I'm linking it here. Or, you can always go with one of my taco recipes to pair with your delicious marg! <3

Serves: 2

Ingredients:

  • 3 oz silver tequila

  • 1 oz Cointreau (or other orange liquor, like Triple Sec)

  • 8 oz raspberry lemonade (I used Simply Light brand to keep it extra healthy)

  • 2 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice (1 large fresh lemon)

  • Raspberries, lemon slice, mint, optional garnishes

  • One large heart ice block, or crushed ice

Note:

  • Gluten free

  • Dairy free

Directions:

  1. Combine tequila, cointreau, lemonade and lemon juice in a shaker. Stir until well mixed.

  2. Place ice in two glasses. Pour mixture over ice. Garnish with raspberries, lemons and mint if desired.

  3. Serve it up & cheers!

However you decide to spend the day, I hope it's with those that you love, whether that's your significant other or your best gal pals! :)

Until next time, Cheers!
