St. Germain Spritz

Paris was absolutely amazing, and so was the food + cocktails. My favorite drink hands down was a St. Germain spritz! Named after Saint-Germain-des-Prés, one of the four administrative quarters of the 6th arrondissement of Paris and also the arrondissement we stayed in. If you ever decide to visit, I highly recommend the area as a base to explore from! It's a super cool neighborhood that's a great location for walking and has a great variety of local restaurants that all serve extremely delicious foods. Be sure to check out La Diva des Pres and Brasserie Lipp if you happen by the area! You won't regret it, I promise. I love the St. Germain spritz for many reasons. It's light and bubbly, making it perfect for morning brunch or a late afternoon lunch. And the St. Germain liqueur is such a delightful flavor of elderflower resembling flavors of kiwi that really make the drink! If you've never tried it before, I highly recommend giving it a whirl. Perhaps it'll become your new favorite spritz too! Serve it for Easter brunch this weekend, or really any time of the year.

Serves: 2

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz St. Germaine

  • 1 oz soda water

  • Prosecco to top

  • Lemon wheels for garnish

  • Blueberries for garnish

Directions:

  1. Fill two wine glasses half full with ice.

  2. Garnish with lemon wheels.

  3. Place St. Germaine and soda water in each glass. Too with prosecco and add some blueberries.

  4. Give it a stir, and enjoy! Cheers!

I hope you give this spritz a shot! It's a new favorite on the block and will be for a long time to come for this girl. Wishing you a wonderful weekend filled with good friends + great drinks! May your glass always be half full this weekend.

Until next time, Cheers!
