Apple Cider Mule

Writer's picture: Magen C.Magen C.

Okay, y'all! I think this is one of my favorite Mule's to date. It screams Fall! I've always loved apple cider, especially when it's used in cocktails. And this mule is full of all the fall flavors with apple cider, orange flavors and cinnamon. It's deliciously tasty with all the bubbles from the ginger beer and sweet finish from the cinnamon sugar rim. It's going to be the perfect Fall cocktail to sip on around the fire pit with friends or to cozy up with your loved one. This is my fourth twist on the mule! They're all different, but each wonderful in their own way. :) Hope you enjoy this one to sip on this Fall!

Serves: 2

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz apple cider of choice (I used a store bought here)

  • 3 shots vodka

  • ginger beer

  • 3 orange wedges

  • Cane sugar

  • Cinnamon powder

  • Garnishes (Optional)

    • Honey crisp apple, sliced thin

    • Fresh rosemary

    • Cinnamon sticks

    • Star anise

Directions:

  1. Combine some cane sugar and cinnamon powder on a plate. Use an orange wedge to wet the top of your glasses. Press top of glass into plate to coat the rim. Set the glasses aside.

  2. Add apple cider, vodka and juice of two orange wedges in a cocktail shaker (or jar with lid). Shake well.

  3. Fill glasses half full with ice cubes. Divide the shaker contents between the two glasses, leaving room at the top of each. Top each with ginger beer until full. Give it a stir. Garnish with apple slices, rosemary, cinnamon sticks and a star anise.

  4. Sip, sip, enjoy!

I hope you enjoy sipping on this treat this Fall and Winter! I sure do love when a tasty cocktail comes together. :)

Until next time, Cheers!
