Hello Fall! In life there are two kinds of people, there's pumpkin lovers and non-pumpkin lovers. And that's okay! We will just have to forgive the non-pumpkin lovers. Ha! Just kidding, we'll forgive them! But seriously, if you are a pumpkin lover like me (+ a coffee lover) then I know you must always look forward to this drink every Fall. I know I do! It's the perfect way to welcome Fall in. But here's the thing, I don't feel like we should have to wait every year for Starbucks to decide it's okay to start serving it again. So I've come up with a solution to fix that! And? It's dairy free! While you can totally modify this recipe to use regular milk products, this is a great option for all my dairy-free friends out there. Although I am not completely dairy-free (Hello cheese!) I will say that one of the main ways I cut back on my dairy is through my coffee. I tend to drink non-dairy creamers and most often use oat-milk based when I can. I have found that love the oat milk flavor in my coffee! And this cold brew recipe is no exception. The pumpkin cream is super creamy, full of pumpkin and absolutely delicious! It's the perfect topping to a delicious cold brew on a Fall day. What's even better? With this recipe, you can make your pumpkin cream cold brew at home and save that money that you spend every day on Starbucks. So what are you waiting for? You need to make this ASAP!

Serves: 1

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cold brew of choice

  • 1/4 cup Silk heavy whipping cream (can also use regular if not DF)

  • 2 tbsp oat milk (or milk of choice)

  • 1 tbsp pumpkin puree (make sure regular pumpkin and not pumpkin pie)

  • 2-3 tbsp vanilla syrup of choice (I used Pink House Alchemy vanilla bean)

  • Pumpkin spice

Directions:

  1. Combine the heavy whipping cream, oat milk, 1 tbsp vanilla syrup, and 2 dashes pumpkin spice (about 1/2 tsp) in a container with a lid (I used a mason jar). Shake vigorously for 2 to 3 minutes until frothy and creamed up. You can also use a frother if desired.

  2. Fill a cup with a handful of ice cubes and the cold brew. Mix in 1-2 tbsp vanilla syrup.

  3. Top the cold brew with the pumpkin cream and few dashes of pumpkin spice. Garnish with a star anise if desired for an extra pretty look. Enjoy!

I hope you enjoy this drink as much as I do! It's definitely one of my favorites so far.

Until next time, Cheers!
